Responsibilities
- Maintain the computer numerical control machine on a day-to-day basis and ensure that it is running smoothly
- Lead and execute test runs, as a CNC machine worker
- Inspect the finished products and ensure that it is on par with the blueprint
- Keep a record of the machine’s actions
- Plan stock inventory and spearhead the process of ordering and acquiring parts
- Turn instructions into computer commands that lead to action
Required skills and qualifications
- Diploma or an equivalent
- Prior experience working as a CNC operator
- Outstanding analytical skills and attention to detail
- Skill set to interpret design blueprints which are usually 3D drawings
- Knowledge of mathematics and mechanics
- Software and computer skills
